On behalf of Langston University, welcome to BISNet (Business Information Systems Network), a Wide Area Network of which the 1890 Colleges and Universities comprise the membership.

Langston University is pleased to join the other 1890 Institutions (HBCU Land-Grant institutions), Fort Berthold Community College, and the United States Department of Agriculture -- Rural Business-Cooperative Service (RBS) in establishing this information network to enhance the flow and exchange of information among community leaders, university personnel and governmental personnel.

The University has a strong tradition of providing educational and technical assistance in economic and business development for rural communities. Langston University Cooperative Extension Program, College of Environmental Sciences Small Farm Program, and the School of Business Small Business Center are assisting communities in a variety of service areas.

Langston University has a dual mission. Langston University emphasizes high levels of excellence in instruction, research, and community service in both rural and urban environments. By virtue of its Land-Grant status, research and community service programs are offered to both rural and urban communities through the Agricultural Research and Extension Division.
