University of Maryland Eastern Shore is a proud participant in the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Business-Cooperative Service's (RBS) network of Rural Development Program and the Business Information Systems Network (BISNet). We pledge that ours will be active and leading roles in this program for the State of Maryland and the nation.

University of Maryland Eastern Shore has been dedicated historically to the uplifting of Rural Maryland. We do this through all of our programs, academic, research, and public service. As we join forces with USDA and the 1890 Universities, we expect to bring the solutions of Business to the community development problems of Rural Maryland.
It is the expected outcome of the Rural Business Program and BISNet that the quality of life for the people of Rural Maryland will be positively impacted as a result of our efforts.
